School Life
The Ecole Française de Bristol is a little corner of France hidden in Bristol. Many children come every day for their classes. Break times and before/after school clubs are another opportunity for children to be in a French environment and make friends.
A large number of activities through the year are also organised for parents and children to meet in a very relaxed atmosphere:
Weekend games and activity days for children are organised by a committee of parents to celebrate special days such as Pancake Day, Mardi Gras, Easter, Bastille Day, etc. A picnic is held every June to celebrate summer in music.
The Christmas celebration is a big event. Its theme varies every year. It starts with a Children's show organised by the teachers (songs, dances, musical representations, etc), and ends with a Christmas market held by parents: stalls selling various French specialties, games for children, etc.
This year, events will take place on the following dates:
| Christmas Show | Saturday 5 December 2009 |
| Picnic and Music Day & 30th School Anniversary |
Saturday 26 June 2010 |
Other events will be publicised during the school year. Stay tuned for further information!
The next AGM will take place on Saturday 25 April 2010. We welcome all parents with children at the school to join our discussions. It is the best way to hear about the school's achievements and future plans.
We have also organised exchanges with other French schools:
- With schools based in France, to exchange letters and emails and maybe meet pupils.
- With other French schools in London, which would give us the opportunity to organise cultural trips.
