School Life
The Ecole Française de Bristol is a little corner of France hidden in Bristol. Many children come every day for their classes. Break times and before/after school clubs are another opportunity for children to be in a French environment and make friends.
A large number of activities through the year are also organised for parents and children to meet in a very relaxed atmosphere:
Weekend games and activity days for children are organised by a committee of parents to celebrate special days such as Pancake Day, Mardi Gras, Easter, etc. A picnic is held every June to celebrate summer in music.
The Christmas celebration is a big event. Its theme varies every year. It starts with a Children's show organised by the teachers (songs, dances, musical representations, etc), and ends with a Christmas market held by parents: stalls selling various French specialties, games for children, etc.
This year, events will take place on the following dates:
| Pumpkin Party (Children's workshops) | Saturday 13 October 07 |
| Christmas Show | Saturday 1 December 07 |
| Easter Celebrations | Saturday 29 March 08 |
| Picnic and Music Day | Saturday 21 June 08 |
We have also organised exchanges with other French schools:
- With schools based in France, to exchange letters and emails and maybe meet pupils.
- With other French schools in London, which would give us the opportunity to organise cultural trips.
