STOP PRESS: Come and join us for the 14 July Celebration! It will be a great family affair,
open to all, with music, barbecue and activities for children. Families not usually attending the school are very welcome. It will run at the school from 6pm to 9pm on the 14th.
Contributions are of £10 for adults, £5 for children aged 10 and over, and £1 for children aged 2 to 9.

The French School was established in 1980 as a non-profit making organisation to cater for the children of French-speaking families.
We now welcome all children from the age of 2 ½ in our stimulating immersion classes, and encourage them to become bilingual in a fun, friendly, multicultural atmosphere in the UK.
We also provide classes for French Language Classes for English speaking children in after-school groups and Holiday Activity Weeks.
The ecole has the unique benefit of allowing children to become bilingual from nursery age:
- Pupils from bilingual families understand and appreciate belonging to a multicultural society. They realise that French is more than just a language spoken with parents.
- English speaking children acquire the skill of learning a foreign language at an age when they are most receptive. They develop awareness of both their own and an additional language and culture.
- Children returning from France or any other French speaking country are able to maintain a bilingual level of French.
- Alternatively children would be effectively prepared for a move to France.
The Ecole manages to reach those objectives through:
- Total immersion in the French language and the culture in the UK.
- Majority of French speaking children.
- Highly effective teaching methods by native qualified teachers.
- Fun and varied activities thanks to a lively and engaging approach to lessons.
- Small class sizes to ensure the children's individual needs are catered for.
- Pre-school (Maternelle) homologated by the French Ministry of Education. School registered with Ofsted and holding the Bristol Standard certificate (NEW!).

- Ability to register all year round, subject to availability.
