The Ecole Française de Bristol now holds the Bristol Standard Certificate!

The Bristol Standard is a self-evaluation framework to help individual settings to develop and improve the quality and effectiveness of their provision. It is also a good way to evaluate and improve on its own performance.

The Bristol Standard is organised under ten dimensions of quality so that settings can reflect and discuss one aspect of their practice at a time. Through this process practitioners are able to celebrate the areas that they feel confident about, while identifying any developments that would increase the effectiveness of their provision.

Practitioners need to consider continually the way they work. Through a constant cycle of reflection, development and improvement, the benefits for the children and their families will be maximised. It is for this reason that we have to update our certificate by completing an annual submission. Every three years we will need to complete an in-depth submission.

The team of the Ecole Française was awarded the Bristol Standard in July 2011.The staff is continuously working with the Bristol Standard adviser to carry on improving our processes.
